| Post subject: | RDC speedometer worth? |
Anybody know if the speedometer and housing from an ex-NYC RDC has any value? It's in decent shape except the housing is a little bent from basically being pried off one of the mounting screws rather than unscrewed. |

I'd assume what a regular speedometer goes for but I don't know the regular price for a speedometer is. It could be more rare if it's some special one off that might have been used for the NYC M497 "Black Beetle" experiment. Would you happen to know what RDC it came off of? |

Either the screw was stuck or the person who removed it had no tools and it was already mostly loose. I don't remember. I had designs once on rigging it up somehow to work on the train layout, but going to DCC it's probably more complicated than it's worth to rig up some kind of circuitry for that. |
