Post subject:  V&T #11 Reno

As most of us know, the oldest V&T locomotive #11 Reno, has beeen back in Carson for less than a year. She was damaged in a fire in 1995; so her tender with the wood frame arrived in pieces. After a general clean-up; the tender was given two new side sills. The also cast a couple of new iron frame parts damaged in the fire. The wood sills are large timbers more tham 12-inches square.

The next step is to build the #11 Reno a nice display barn near the V&T depot. Robert Gray, Jr also reported that the fired-damaged parts of two V&T box cars arrived with the locomotive. The box cars were built by Wells & French a Chicago car builder of the 1870s. They will be re-built as time allows.
