Just got the email that Amtrak is putting up 15 baggage cars for disposal - Budd - 1900 series with build dates from 1950 to 1961, and "converted coach" so I'm not instantly sure what that means. The two diners are 8505 and 8530 Sales offer is 2023-01 with inspection on October 19 9AM bid closing October 26 all at Beech Grove. Contact is Severson 215-349-1192 |

Randy Gustafson wrote: "converted coach" so I'm not instantly sure what that means. Amtrak's 1700 series cars were Heritage fleet coaches that Amtrak converted to Baggage Cars. |

I've heard the two diners are in rough condition for the interiors - used in 'axle count' service, but in service lately and just parked. So Caveat Emptor, an inspection would be absolutely necessary. |
