I just came across this video on my Facebook feed this morning: https://www.facebook.com/reel/868195437 ... e&s=TIeQ9V Is this actually happening at the hotel? If this is the case, i’m bewildered that I have seen 0 discussion about it. There’s plenty of cars that I’m sure that have a good chunk of usable parts. |

So much history has been lost there. :( |

When the property was going to be redeveloped from the Holiday Inn, I wish that TVRM could have gotten a hold of it. At one time there was talks about connecting the property to the Chattanooga Belt railway by way of a over/underpass of the NS yards. The possibilities would have been endless for an incredible railroad history experience. The real shame was the demolition of the signal tower a few years ago. :( |

To the best of my knowledge, only one car is being scrapped. Most are being repositioned on the property and those that will continue as hotel rooms are being completely refurbished. I believe some cars will be leaving the site for new homes but the developer has not made any public comment yet. - Alan Maples |
