Has the Interlube M-914-S Air Brake Cylinder Grease not become contraband in Cali? Scroll down for a link to the spec sheet. https://www.interlubecorp.com/industry/railroad/ I can't say enough good things about their products. |

It's available in CA. Try a petroleum jobber. |

We’ve used Interlube previously. I recently bought a small tub from Multi-Service Supply to do a couple cars. I don’t recall the brand on it, though. |

Interlube will sell you a small quantity if that's all you need. As far as I know, most all of the lubricant wholesalers - if they can get anything like this at all - will not deal in small quantities - even as small as 5 gallons. And 5 gallons for most of us is enough to last half a lifetime. There just isn't enough demand for the big companies to stock any of this stuff any more. |

Thanks for all the replies. This was hard to find, rail company where we are stored did not have it and didn't have any information on it, However Interlube had it and order placed. I really like interlube as someone else said. |

If all else fails, food grade grease works very well. Couldn't get the AAR grease. I was working on industrial railroads in Wyoming and had to work on valves and brake cylinders. Even with below zero temps it worked perfectly. The main thing was the grease couldn't affect any seals or rubber parts. If you don't interchange equipment, you can do what you feel is appropriate. Otherwise, if you interchange equipment, it's the AAR way or the highway. |
