Post subject:  Operating Fleet Grows at National Capital Trolley Museum

I’m happy to report that thanks to the hard work and dedication of a number of NCTM volunteers, particularly in the Maintenance & Repair Department, the museum’s fleet of operable passenger cars has now grown to 7. Within the past two weeks, former Toronto Transportation Commission PCC Car #4603 and former Third Avenue Railway system car #678 both have successfully returned to service.

TTC #4603 returns to service following completion of overhaul of the trucks by Lyons Industries and some additional work on the car’s control system by museum volunteers, and TARS #678 returns after extensive work by museum volunteers to resolve truck lubrication issues.
