Recently this car had restored brass lamps installed and a few pics were posted. Have always thought this car was beautiful and recall when it was first on the property years ago. It was in nice shape for a camp car but no pics of it at start of restorations? Anyway thought the pics looked like builder photos showing off the beautiful interior. The pics of the three men are crew cleaning up for the then upcoming wooden car tours open to the public to allow a more up close and personal view of the restored fleet of wooden cars and the cars under restoration.

Not as emotionally charged as trying, convicting and sentencing people for human error. But a reverse side of human nature preserving history and enjoying commeradarie with like minded people. Hope someone enjoys the pics/link. Regards, John.

There is an error in MidContinent's text. The Great Northern was completed in 1893, and the Northern Pacific was completed in 1883. So the Northern Pacific is the first northern transcontinental.

John -

Absolutely gorgeous car! Fantastic restoration. Hopefully, Mid-Continent will one day have a steam locomotive to occasionally pull her around.
