Pickering crane moved

On Monday the 15th, this rare American logging crane was loaded on trucks at Jamestown, CA and hauled to Willits, CA where it was unloaded Tuesday the 16th. Chris Baldo has added another prize to his collection. AH&D #1305 is a 25 ton crane built for the Standard Lbr. Co. in 1925. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=468 ... 7867711454

Thanks for posting, John.

While in the office getting a pass to be on the property, I saw that crane leaving town with the empties one 1965 summer day. She had quite a long career with Pickering.

The crane was leaving town PULLING the empties or just as part of the train? Pardon me for my confusion.

Fair enough question Les. The crane was part of the consist and directly behind the pair of EMDs, but not pulling at all.
