Hi all, I'm Charlton. I'm relatively young being only a teenager but I love railroading and when a Historic L.V.RR Depot came under heavy threat of demolition I stood up to try and save it. That is why I am writing this post, I need as many volunteers as I can get. I am almost done filling for nonprofit status. All, My name is Shane and can vouch for Charlton. I am also involved in the station preservation project with him. To answer any questions not yet answered, the station we are seeking to preserve is a former Lehigh Valley Railroad freight station situated in northern Flemington, New Jersey. The structure was built in 1884 and used into the 1960s as a freight depot. The plan is to relocate the structure (the means to do so is still being looked into) and relocate it elsewhere in the Flemington area. The station sits on property that is now owned by a land developer who wishes to redevelop it, and the station is in the way of this future construction. Non-profit status is still being fine tuned.
