Since so many posters find scrolling past topics unrelated to their particular interests so discomforting and instead want their content carefully processed like Gerber’s fine array of pureed and strained infant nutrition products, it is clear that it is necessary to have an “Rypn 2.0” where there is aggressive and intense moderation, to insulate the more sensitive members of this community from unsafe and hurtful conversations. As a public service; I have commissioned some IT specialists (white hat hackers) to obtain the rypn.org files; which will be loaded to rypndaycare.org. Here's the way this new board will work. We have obtained a group of eager volunteers to fill the position of Care and Review Evaluator Networker (CAREN). CARENS will be monitoring the interchange 2.0 to see if topics should be classified as a Noxiously Unrelated Thread (NUT). Once a NUT is identified; the poster will be reviewed to see if they have multiple NUTS, in which case the assigned CAREN will arbitrarily and capriciously determine whether the poster should be treated as a Belligerent On-Line Threat or BOLT. Obviously, a BOLT cannot have too many NUTS. If in the discretion of the assigned CAREN, a BOLT has too many NUTS, the CAREN can issue a Special Comprehensive Review and Evaluation Warrant or SCREW. If the BOLT has a NUT that is violent or threatening, then the CAREN can obtain a Harm and Malevolence Mitigation Evaluation Review or HAMMER. The purpose of the HAMMER is to effect a BOLT Eradication/Negation Tool or BENT. When a BOLT is BENT, the BOLT may be removed permanently with a Censor’s Liquidation Advice Workorder or CLAW. In general, CARENS will be able to SCREW BOLTS as much and as often as they deem necessary. However if a CAREN HAMMERS a BOLT, that will like be done once, with the BENT BOLT being removed with a CLAW. While we anticipate a CAREN to have the final word, we will have some CARENS will have Special Unlimited Prerogative Effecting Reviews or SUPER powers. Only a SUPERCAREN will be able to overrule a CAREN. We believe secret, unaccountable power by a limited few people with extraordinary zeal and dedication to monitoring and directing others is the key to have a board that is interesting on topic, safe and trustworthy. Although the operation of a safe and trustworthy board will be our primary activity; we intend to periodically have special physically co-located events to provide for safe spaces in the event of a traumatic event such as renumbering a preserved locomotive or painting it for a road that never owned it, where traumatized members of the community can be comforted free of harsh judgments. Why create a new forum??? With Rick Rowlands to resign has moderator i think you be a good Moderator here superheater...... I don't have the same point of view about Steamtown etc... but i believe you be a good one to make this forum (RYPN) more sustainable that my opinion. |
