Although the Age of Steam Railroad Museum is well known for their work on steam locomotives, this past summer they completed a very nice restoration of Pennsylvania Railroad X29 boxcar #51121. The car was repainted into its original 1929 PRR paint scheme after patchwork and new steel was applied to rusted-out side sheet areas. The job included a new wood roof walk. Car looks great!

Did Age Of Steam know what boxcar they have here?

When you look at their roster page
https://www.ageofsteamroundhouse.org/boxcar-prr-51121/

you can see after their first restoration
"BUILT 2-36"

during their second restoration
"BLT 5 30"

now in 2022
"BLT 6 29"

?¿?

The true dates came from more, in depth, research along with old stenciling carefully uncovered during the most recent and very thorough restoration this time from previous paint jobs only in the past.
Thanks
