Relocated from Museum of Industry, Stellarton, NS to Middleton Railway Museum, already home to CN 1274/1521: https://middletonrailwaymuseum.ca/locomotive-1274-1521/

Not a sister to either of the 0-6-0's cited. This is a ten-wheeler. Truly a sister to NH&I 1553 and small variety of other restorable CNR ten-wheelers.

The engine that's being moved is CN 7260. None of the articles clearly state that...

1521 is an engine that's already at the museum, NOT the engine that's being moved...

Does the 0-6-0 being moved even have an entry on steamlocomotive.info ? I've searched by road number, construction number, and even by province and I can't find it.

I see a number of CNR engines that don't show up in the database.

If anyone wants to figure out what's missing:

Greetings:

The 2022 edition of the Canadian Trackside Guide shows CLC c/n 697 being renumbered 809 by the ICR in 1916 not 1913.

Also, in the same undisclosed location in Stellarton where #7260 was, there is an 1899 Schenectady 2-6-0, c/n 5103, also formerly owned by Tibbetts.

Happy hunting!

J.David

I don't suppose any of you know of a neglected or unwanted and available Canadian National or CPR ten-wheeler? Just asking for friends.....

Richard-the New Hope and Ivyland 4-6-0 probably fits the description of 'neglected'; not sure what owner's intentions are.

Dick -

CN 1395 is located on the property of the Coopersville & Marne Railway in Michigan. As far as I know, the privately owned Ten-Wheeler has never had any work done on it since it was moved there, so cosmetically, it is in really rough shape.

NH&I 1533 has been checked out and apparently is unavailable for acquisition. CPR 972 is...uh...hopefully going to be rebuilt as a functional ten-wheeler. Kelly, you know more than do the rest of us. As far as the other locomotives are concerned, I've noted and passed them along to the inquiring party. I don't expect a sudden movement in any case.
Thanks to everyone for sharing what they know.
