back in 1969 or 1970 I was in Washington, PA and saw a 0-6-0 #12 saddle tank engine "Arden Short lines". It was in the area of the Trolley Museum and was operational. Does anybody have any information regarding if this engine is still around? I was unable to find any reference with a web search |

Yes, the BLW 0-6-0T was operational at Pennsylvania Trolley Museum from its arrival there in 1964tuntil sometime in the 1970s. It was sold in 1987. PTM (formerly Arden T.M.) had enough steam-oriented members to keep it going, but when that core membership trickled away the loco remained cold. Between its acquisition from Duquesne Slag and arrival at the museum it was given considerable attention at the B&O Glenwood Shop in Pittsburgh at no cost to the museum. B&O also moved the loco to the museum at no cost. |
