"We have a few exciting announcements for today.
First, we are happy to announce our new home is Jefferson, OH on the Ashtabula, Carson & Jefferson Railroad. We are extremely grateful for their hospitality. We have been sitting at their interchange while we worked out some issues, but today we moved it into town. This is significantly closer so it can be worked on more often.
Second, we have agreed to stabilize and eventually purchase both Erie 201 and Erie 1022 from AC&J. As many of you know, 1022 is probably the best surviving example of an Erie modernized heavyweight car. 201 is a baggage car and has a generator in it. Both cars were used by AC&J in their passenger operations. There are currently no plans to attempt to restart passenger service.
We are excited about our future here. We do ask if you decide to visit the car, please do not climb on it if no one from the organization is around. We do plan on having it open occasionally. We will announce that on this page.
