From Laws Railroad Museum and Historical Site: We are renovating Slim Princess No9 including paint, smoke box repair, and: --hold on to your socks-- a boiler test. You read that right, we are exploring the possibility of restoring engine No9 to live steam operations! Exciting, right? To get this far we need your help to meet a fundraising goal of $50,000. https://www.lawsmuseum.org/index.php/ro ... ling-maybe |

From the Trains article: "In 1954 SP purchased a diesel to replace steam on the remaining narrow-gauge lines." Does anybody know what ultimately happened to this locomotive? |

Found this photo: https://www.flickr.com/photos/29903115@N06/44999859855 "Built for Southern Pacific's 3ft gauge in 1954 (bn 32266), sold to Compania Minera de Cananea in 1961. Converted to standard gauge late 70's or early 80's." Photo from 1983 by "Trainiac" Also found this, which has a number of photos of SP NG, a continuation of what Jason Lamb posted above I think. https://www.richyodermodels.com/rym_owe ... update.htm
