these were built by pullman for the Southern Pacific's famous Coast Daylight in 1937 for use between San Francisco & Los Angeles CA as Articulated 44 seat chair cars. 7 pairs of these cars were eventually retired and sold to Algoma Central in 1974 and used for passenger trains across the system.
