Earlier this year, F.E.C. #253 was sold to the Abbieville Foundation, to be cosmetically restored and placed on display at a new Transportation and Interpretive Center in Abbieville, Alabama. She was disassembled and transported there by truck on October12. The work was accomplished by FMW Solutions.

It's the FEC 0-8-0 that was being restored towards operation at Hialeah (Miami), Florida.
