Less than five years ago, the East Broad Top lay dormant. A train wheel had not turned for almost a decade. The track in a state of disrepair, buildings abandoned, the property dark and desolate. Mother Nature slowly reclaiming what was once hers. Time stood still.

Since then there has been a complete rebirth. Our ‘Christmas in Coal Country’ event now dominates the month of December. The spirit has returned. As well as the cheer. The vibrant color. The dreams. The abundance of smiles. And steam!
