When I was a young man I recall seeing a wooden RR business car which, I was told, was owned by the actor Sterling Hayden and he sometimes resided in it. It was on rails and was somewhat permanently located in Sausalito California on north side of Bridgeway street (highway 1). It was a classic car and I don't recall seeing any lettering on it and doubt, even at that time, that the rails went very far north to once connect with the NW Pacific system, I guess my question is, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAR AND IS IT NOW SURVIVING SOMEWHERE? Thank you.

According to a google search, the car was former Burlington office car no. 93. It ended up caught in a tax lien fight and reportedly was stranded at a car repair shop. One report suggests it was heavily vandalized and eventually scrapped.
