It probably just means that no one has posted for a while, the nature of that board is that old messages just go away (thus flimsies). I usually post links to articles there that are about preservation but aren't necessarily worthy of discussion on Interchange. Edit: I just posted something, and it is up. |

I'm not a staff member of rypn anymore (thank the deity of your choice!), and I don't even remember who was responsible for maintaining Flimsies, but I did notice that over the last year or so, updates have become quite a bit less frequent. |

Reminds me of the anniversary I want to celebrate every August 10: "The RyPN Articles Section It's been nearly 6 years since the last article/brief was published. Since then Railway Preservation News has essentially been running on autopilot. It's high time that we fix this." While the Classifieds/Interchange are very actively used, it seems as though the rest of the site isn't. Wasn't there an upgraded interface offered a few years ago to attract more attention and make things easier to post? |

A few of us here offered to help. Kelly Lynch went so far as to develop a prototype site. And there it stalled... |

I'm just finishing up on a total rebuild of the Climax Locomotives website. Here's what can easily be done with Xenforo and a few add ons. https://climaxlocomotives.com |
