Post subject: | Kenova Vulcan 0-4-0T to Kentucky Steam, Heritage |
Contractor "That Steam Guy" (well-known to most here) has posted a video f activities this morning. Although he was ambiguous about the details, it's been identifies as a Vulcan 0-4-0T on display in Kenova, WV, being moved to Kentucky Steam Heritage in, well, either Ravenna or Irvine: Vulcan Iron Works builders number #2886, builders date 12-1918 or 1-1919 (sources conflict). built for W. E. Callihan Construction #1 at Columbus, Ohio, and then later went to Potomac Edison Co. #1 at Williamsport, MD, where it survived into operation into the early 1960s as one of the last holdouts of non-preserved commercial steam locomotive operation. It was sold somewhere around 1980, and apparently went through several private owners and locations before ending up on display in Kenova.
