It is known that Walt Disney and animator Ward Kimball traveled to the Chicago Railroad Fair in 1948 where not only did they get to see the equipment, but also be at the throttle of some of them. My question is, which (steam) locomotives were present at the fair when Walt & Ward attended? |

The history of the fair does not mention that Lima's last steam locomotive, NKP 779 was there for the 1949 season. |

Walt Disney and Ward Kimball also visited the Henry Ford Greenfield Village on that trip - notice this was 1948 and Disneyland opened in 1955. There are several similarities between the original Disneyland park and Greenfield Village. |
