One more USRA DS Box Car from 1919 found ? Maybe! Look here http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=5502151 The car is located on the proberty of the Washington State Railway Historical Society in Pasco, WA (whatever status that organization is in - nobody knows...) My understanding made as USRA DS boxcar for GN* in 1919. Converted to an all steel car with the conversion kit from "Youngstown Steel Door Co." in the 1930s. *as the car is marked as Burlington Northern it is possible that the original owner was CB&Q or SP&S because they also received that car from the government. Your thoughts? Look the process below |
