Does it really matter?

As I type, there is something of a word-of-mouth effort to save for preservation the ex-CP F-unit that VERY PROMINENTLY starred in the much better-known movie "Silver Streak." There has been some well-meaning debate as to whether the notoriety of the film star-dom is worthy of the extra effort that would be needed to rescue the loco from eventual scrapping (at the moment I think it's a stored leftover from the Montreal STCUM commuter fleet).

If we can't get enthusiasts behind saving the "star loco" from what is undoubtedly one of THE greatest railroad-centric movies of all time................
