Interesting find from Trains Magazine

https://www.trains.com/trn/news-reviews ... c-railway/

This would mark the 3rd overall standard gauge railroad they've purchased, following the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad (in 1999), and the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad (purchased 2016, sold 2022)

Branson Scenic has a pretty impressive streamlined train set…. I’m not sure if anyone else has a matching streamlined set like that in operation / preservation. Definitely worth checking out.

I could be wrong but I believe Branson Scenic owns the passenger equipment and depot but none of the track.

Branson Scenic owns, manages and maintains the locomotives and cars and employs the on board service staff. The train is operated on the Missouri Northern Arkansas (MNA) using MNA operating crews.

Thanks MD - I was curious about the locomotives too with the freight railroad providing operating crew.

One concern with this purchase is American Heritage potentially moving some of the nicer cars out to North Carolina - obviously, that is their right as the new owners.

There are no plans at this time to break up the historic Branson train set.
