National Capital Trolley Museum continues to move forward on its program to comprehensively overhaul a set of PCC Car trucks as the first major phase of a longer-term project to restore another original PCC car from Washington, DC to operation. Attached are a few photos of the latest pair of recently completed Westinghouse 1432 traction motors from our partners at Lyons Industries in Ebensburg, PA (http://www.lyonsind.com/).

Are any of those Washington DC PCC cars all-electric? Or do they have air-operated shaft brakes?

All four of the PCC cars in the NCTM collection have air-operated shaft brakes. Cars 1470 and 1540 were constructed this way; Cars 1101 and 1430 were modified by Capital Transit.
