What is a good tool to make clean, square cuts on the sandwich rubber for Adlake window rubber so that the product can be readily glued together to accept the glass panes? It's not as easy as it looks; your ideas will be appreciated.

I've had good luck with these "general purpose" shears on rubber, hoses, etc. Unlike regular scissors these shears compress the material to be cut evenly from both sides and make a clean square cut;

Or these;

These used to be sold at Sears (TM) as a Craftsman (TM) branded product, may be available at a big box home improvement store near you.

There are way more expensive tools out there as well. Depends on how much cutting you need to do;

Your mileage may vary. Cheers, Kevin.

I have used the McMaster-Carr sourced tool with success. One still wants to be careful but it's much better than regular scissors or a knife.

Saw these today at Lowe's

Same basic function as the McMater Carr unit, but with a miter gauge, might help keeping your cuts square.
