So in relation to the early boxcab diesels (think CNJ 1000), there's been something I've been trying to find for a while. Drawings of the trucks. Near as I can tell they're a GE-designed truck, and look similar to some trucks that were used on GE electric locomotives of the period. But I also can't find a model number or designation. So where can I look? Is there a definitive text on the early boxcabs that might hold the answers? The information has to be out there, but Google is only taking me so far. |

John Kirkland's Dawn of the Diesel Age seems to be a pretty definitive source. |

Someone could probably make measured drawings from a preserved example. Then compare that with other historical or contemporary sources. |
