Post subject:  CSS&SB car on the move in CA

Yesterday, there was this former CSS&SB car spotted on the side of CA Highway 101 in Salinas, CA, heading north. Certainly an unusual car to be seen this far west. I'm sure someone on here knows where it would be going. And where did it come from? It has reporting marks for the Heber Valley RR in Utah, but if that is where it came from, this would be an odd routing from Utah.

Note that this heavy haul set-up looks VERY expensive, so whom ever is moving it has some serious $$ behind them.

Not a South Shore car, but a DL&W MU motor car, painted in South Shore colors. Formerly Knox & Kane (hence the color scheme), later at Heber Valley, and being trucked from Heber to a new home at Santa Cruz, Calif.
