Hello All,

I am looking for training videos to help explain concepts to volunteers with little railroad experience.

Additionally, I want to do my part to make sure some of these videos/presentations have duplicate copies so they don't turn into effectively lost media in the case of being taken down from YouTube, Etc.

If anyone has any links/files to share in the spirit of collaboration/preservation between museums and other organizations working towards better training and understanding for volunteers I would greatly appreciate it.

I will start with a few videos I found copies of:

This Conrail video is great for someone who has never dealt with RR Air Brakes before:
Conrail Fundamentals Of Train Air Brakes

This Union Pacific video covers using the Air Flow Method for conducting an initial terminal test along with a few snippets about train handling:
Union Pacific Air Brake and Train Handling

p.s. I am specifically trying to find a Conrail training video I saw several years ago explaining the concept of positive/negative gradients within the trainline and other train handling concepts.

I don't have a source for those Conrail videos, but youtuber Hyce (Mark Huber) does a series called Railroading 101, and he explains some fairly complex things in a digestible manner. Definitely a resource for involving younger railfans in the preservation and operation side of the camera.
