"Illinois Railway Museum
April 29
We are pleased to announce that we have acquired ICG 767253, a covered hopper built in 1980 by Pullman-Standard. This 4750-type car is typical of one of the most successful and popular covered hopper designs of the 20th century. We'd like to thank Canadian National Railway for their generous donation of 767253. I couldn't find a photo of ICG 767253 in its original scheme, but the bottom photo shows a different car in the same series, likely in the original scheme of the car IRM received.
Top photo IRM; bottom photo John R. Schmeling, 1989.

Your picture is from an earlier production run
1972-1975

The 1979-1980 lot was delivered in the simplified scheme.
See this made in 1979 and photo in 1979.
