I didn't know FMW Solutions had an operating group.

I wish them well.

Ps.

I wonder if they could use a K4. Runs for cover.

Kind of an interesting situation, since Finger Lakes had been running the occasional Christmas or fall train, then sold off all their passenger cars at the end of this winter (four to Adirondack, and the rest to Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley). But it keeps those URHS cars moving, while the Hudson River Rail excursions are on hiatus. The Auburn Road is a pretty scenic bit of railroading, that Geneva-Auburn section in particular with the causeway across the north end of Cayuga Lake. And Geneva, Seneca Falls, and Canandaigua are all pretty popular tourist spots. And I see there's a listed "Railfan Train" running the full Canandaigua-Solvay length, which I'm interested in.

Yes, they provide locomotive and train crews to assist several organizations. For example, the crew on the Sugar Express in Florida is mainly made up of FMW staff, with a few U.S. Sugar workers and volunteers.

I should mention that in May 2009, I chartered a 3-day passenger train to cover the entire Finger Lakes Railway. It is a pretty line with some great photo spots, so if you have a chance to ride - do so.

That's what I'm thinking too, seeing how FMW Solutions is currently aiding in the restoration of 1361

Sounds like a good operation for either locomotives mentioned... But with the "Great Steel Fleet" also being restored, it would make an 11 car NYC consist if you were to combine the now four URHS NYC cars. Far more befitting for something that would refuse to abdicate, hint hint.

Hickory Creek was used on the Joliet Rocket excursions a few years ago with 765, so who knows?
