Helping out a friend who’s working on a RS-4-TC-1A switcher. The compressor sounds like it’s having some real internal issues and they will be tearing it down shortly. I’m trying to find out if there’s any manuals available on this style compressor and if there’s even any parts out there for it. From my five minutes of Google searching, I didn’t find a thing regarding this compressor, so I turned to y’all to see if there’s someone here who could help throw some info my way.

Thanks,

Gary R.

Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad has one of those units, by way of Heber Valley, essentially a Whitcomb after Baldwin shut them down, so they may know. Here is a post about them working on the compressor, I don't know if it is the same model: https://www.facebook.com/psvrr/posts/pf ... HZRkg1T8vl
I was told that all of the Whitcomb records went to California State Railway Museum.
