Post subject:  Morrison International Caboose - interior photos?

Does anyone happen to have any photos of original International Car caboose interiors from 1960-1962 time period? I have a caboose that is missing some items and I am trying to re-equip mine to be more original, does anyone have a relatively original caboose they can share photos of or just photos in general? I know there are no builders photos or corporate records out there, so am hoping somebody has an original ish car someplace.

Thanks

Fred

Fred - we're gonna need more info. ICC built several different "standard" styles configured differently per order. Not to mention they were modified throughout their operational lives. What railroad and style is it? Even an external photo would be a help, and what exists inside now.

As for the general layout goes, the railroad's equipment diagrams are a good start if you can find one.

I tried to upload a photo, it didn't take, but maybe now it did? LIRR N22A, it's a small transfer type, 32' long. No bay window or cupola. Mine was not modified other than the few missing items as far as I can tell. What I am looking for specifically are the items mounted to the end walls aside from the kero lamps and fusee/torpedo/flag boxes. I want to say there were fire extinguishers maybe? Based on the hole patterns in the end walls. Also above the sinks - what was customary? Some kind of mirror maybe? There are hole patterns for what looked like a large square item above the sink, and a small square item below it, maybe a soap dish/basket of some kind? Need a clean shot of the stove instructions on the wall behind it. And whatever else might have been around. I have asked around but have never found any old photos of what once was. Also - outside the end door there were screen door attached. I do have one picture that gives a clear enough view. Somehow I think this is an item folks got rid of pretty quickly.

I'll have to look and see what shots I have of other ICC cabooses. If your stove is diesel or kero, I have repro artwork for a San-O-Cab instruction and a photo of a Vapor Caban instruction.

San-O-Cab Division of Walton Products, Inc. out of Broomall, PA. They made a competing heater to Vapor. I've seen them mainly in the NE. Those are the two I'm aware of.

I may have some time today to look in my photo archives. PM your email to me and I'll send what I find, if anything useful.
