I write to post that I have been diagnosed with cancer and have begun a treatment program which holds the promise of extending my lifetime by 9-18 months. I would be grateful for your prayers. Thank you, Ross Rowland |

Railroading is my religion, so I'm not much on prayers. However, I've been on chemo for prostate cancer for five years now, so I'll suffer with you and KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED FOR YOU. Best of luck. Sometimes the doctors don't get everything right... or maybe AI will figure out how to cure cancer or reverse aging before our time runs out. After all, trying to kill off old railroaders is like trying to kill weeds. |

Ross, I'm in the same boat as Sammy with surgery in '18, radiation in '21, ongoing "light" chemo in '22 and next stage chemo begun about 2 months ago. My prayers are with you and all I can add is try to be grateful for each day and enjoy each one to the best of your ability.............mld |
