Quote:
Specifications:
- Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1914, Serial 41652
- 16x24" cylinders, 180# steam pressure, 44" drivers, 20,400 lbs. tractive effort
- 110,000 lbs engine weight, 83,000 lbs on drivers, tender weight 70,000 lbs loaded

Boiler:
- Extended wagon top, 60" diameter, butt joined with double covering strips.
- No visible boiler repairs except for "consumables, such as the firebox and smokebox.

- Boiler tubes have been removed.

-Most if not all of front tube sheet requires replacement and smokebox needs significant bottom patching or ideally complete replacement.

-Boiler shows pitting and deterioration in anticipated places as would be expected for its age, use and years of storage, all of which seems reasonably repairable, However no ultra sound or other tests have been conducted.

Estimated Physical Size:
-Locomotive: 11' wide, 13' high, 31' long, light weight 55-55 tons.
-Tender: 11' wide, 10' high, 26' long, light weight 20-25 tons.
-NOTE: Cab has been removed and boiler and smokebox are free from all connections with the frame.

This locomotive does not have any [appurtenances] whatsoever, however it is intact as to primary mechanical considerations. Nothing potentially unique to the locomotive or significant, such as pistons, valve motion and side rods, for example, and which would be extremely difficult or costly to replace, is missing. There is no smokestack, however this can be fabricated new rather simply . This is a project locomotive that will require a thorough extensive overhaul to return to service, however the suitable size and corresponding manageable cost that will result in an attractive, basic, operating steamer in spite of what, at first impression, might visibly appear as to overwhelming an undertaking. The locomotive will be sold "as is, where is. If you are planning on restoration we may asked about rebuilding funding and capabilities as it is our sincere desire to see that this locomotive is returned to service and the price will be negotiable.
