Does anyone here have experience working with Over The Top Construction of Seville, OH to move a heavyweight passenger car (or any passenger car for that matter). I am also interested in finding out about other car movers. I haven't been able to find out much about moves that have been handled by OTTC but they were recommended by CSX.

Thanks for any insight.

While I haven't worked directly with him on a move, I do know he's moved quite a few cars over the road. And, he knows railroad equipment. If CSX recommended him, I'd think that's not a bad thing.

Silk Road Specialized does this for a living:

"Silk Road Specialized provides transportation of commuter and light rail cars and articulating busses. We have years of experience servicing the mass transit and specialized heavy-haul market, and our advanced knowledge, equipment, and services make us the logistics experts of the US & Canada. Partner with the best to get transport that arrives on time, every time."

I had a very positive experience with them back in the day of SEPTA's M4 Market Frankford El car deliveries from ADTranz's Elmira Heights plant to 69th Street maintenance yard.

We have used Daily Express, from Carlisle, PA, for all of our over-the-road passenger car moves.

I believe OTT is Jim Lesiak. He moved a Chicago El car from Grand Rapids OH to East Troy WI and also moved that Zephyr consist to Wisconsin a few years back.

Schlatter boys out of IN specialize in these heavyweight moves, they are coming to Cheyenne to move the SP and UP cars for us next month.
