At its Fall Conference in Durango, the HRA presented its annual awards to these recipients. Steam SMS/Woodstown Central for the restoration of 0-6-0 9 Age of Steam Roundhouse for the rescue and cosmetic restoration of Bessemer & Lake Erie 2-10-4 643 Diesel Niles Canyon Ry for the restoration of Southern Pacific Kraus Maffei diesel-hydraulic 9010 Doyle McCormack and Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad for the Alco PA restoration Traction Edmonton Radial Ry. for the restorations of Regina streetcar 42 and Saskatoon sweeper 200 at Passenger Car Everett Railroad for the restoration of Lehigh & New England business car 100 Freight Car Railroad Museum of New England Railroad for the restoration of Bangor & Aroostook boxcar 2569 Wiscasset Waterville & Farmington Railroad Museum for the restoration of Bridgton & Saco River boxcar 56 Infrastructure Oregon Rail Heritage Center for buying a 5.5 mile short line for excursion service Old Colony & Newport for reopening the railroad into Newport, Rhode Island Archives Boone & Scenic Valley for restoring the Fort Dodge Line freight house and converting it into an archive building Friend of Railway Preservation Narrow Gauge Preservation Foundation for its grants to narrow gauge preservation Youth Involvement Friends of the East Broad Top for the Young Easties program Lifetime Achievement Peter Murphy, for his long service to the Canadian Railroad Historical Association, his editorship of Canadian Rail Magazine, and his service to Association of Railway Museums/HeritageRail Alliance Mike Ramsey, for his long service to Colorado rail preservation, and his regulatory work with the Federal Railroad Administration on behalf of heritage railroading.
