Post subject: | Passenger Car Question |
Greetings, I'd like to know what gauge of steel did Pullman use for passenger car side sheets, particularly around 1941? Also, what gauge of steel did they lay down for the floors (which supported the concrete material)? Thanks in advance. God Bless, Gerald W. Kopiasz hrrhs@aol.com |

The General Beauregard, 1942 built Pullman used 14 gauge for the side sheets, 16 gauge for the roof, and 22 gauge for the floor.
