The Colfax Railroad Museum (WI) has received a $600,000 matching grant to build a building to house ALL of our rolling stock, along with a number of other ADA upgrades, exhibit development, and equipment for restoration work. The match of the other $600,000 is well along at $480,616 but any help to reach that goal by the railroad community would be greatly appreciated. The state did not fund our restoration funding request, but we are going out to the appropriate societies for specific equipment to solicit their assistance. This is the culmination of a four-year effort to raise the funds. During this time period we have secured ownership of all the property we were occupying along with acquiring the parking area adjacent to our main depot that we had been sharing with our local farm cooperative. Once the construction is completed, our plans are to resume restoration work on the equipment under cover. |

You guys as I recall had a Vulcan switcher that you were trying to get running, any success with that? |
