The former C&NW station at Great Lakes, IL is to be demolished in the very near future. This historic station has seen thousands of Navy recruits pass through it's doors. Now with the construction of a new METRA station next door, it's future is not good. As far as I can determine, there have been no efforts to save the old station. After the new METRA station is complete, the old station is to be demolished.
