If you are looking at the boiler and you see rivets at the seams and around the steam dome, does that mean the jacket is off and if the jacket is off theres no insulation/asbestos? Were there any steam locomotives built without insulation and jackets on the boiler? Alan adofmsu@aol.com |

Yes, the jacket and insulation have been removed if you can see the rivets. > Were there any steam locomotives built > without insulation and jackets on the > boiler?
