The RGRPC and the Commission signed the memorandum covering MANAGEMENT of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad through December 31, 2003.
According to my sources, the RGRPC will start on Monday morning, under the memorandum, with contract details to be worked out.
This agreement covers management of Operations, shop, marketing and ticketing, etc.
As I understand it, track is not yet part of it.

We now have a management team in place, and we can look forward to a successful season in 2003.

You have expressed reservations about the ability of the RGRPC to run the railroad in an efficient and competent manner. What do you believe is different with this new contract and the 2003 season ?

This historically has been a VERY contentious subject, and I'd prefer to see it taken up on one of the boards which specialize in discussing the narrow gauge in general and C&TS in particular rather than on the Interchange:

I regret that some folks feel the need to make anything I post about the CTSRR into a contentious issue.
