I am looking for a caboose to buy to use as a mountain home in Truckee, California. Can any one help me out with a lead? Thanx!

One place to start: http:/railmerchants.net. They have a Zephyr if you need something larger. Luck.

I don't know what your budget is, but there is one on eBay right now. I think the price is a tad high, but it may be worth the look.

This isn't the first time this car has been listed. Though it is nice, it is priced too high IMHO. Another place is www.ozarkmountainrailcar.com.

Union Pacific Railroad has (or had) several listed for sale at www.uprr.com, including some SP cabs.

Railswap.org is a useful site for finding this type of equipment.

The last time I saw it on eBay it was listed at $25K. Sincer cabeese on eBay at $10,000 don't sell, I wonder where this person gets the idea they can sell theirs for almost twice that price.
