Post subject:  Lack MU cars at Heber Valley

I've heard that Heber Valley uses some former Lackawanna electric MU cars in their train. Does anyone have numbers for these cars, or information on their status? Thanks.

Frank,

A few years ago I started working on a book about the Heber Valley, which is to include the history of every piece of equipment on the roster. I have not been able to find any DL&W numbers for the 2 MU's that are at Heber. Here is the information I have:

Heber Valley 250 - coach (also used as concession car, 1993-1997)
acquired from Great Smoky Mountains Scenic, 1992
formerly GSMS No. 522 "Swan County"
I think GSMS acquired this car from BM&R

Heber Valley 270 - coach
acquired from Great Smoky Mountains Scenic, 1992
formerly GSMS No. 524 "Haywood County"
Also from BM&R?

Both are in service on the Heber Valley.

If anyone can provide numbers, we can nail now the date they were built.
