Very good website devoted to California's Owens Valley history, with much info and photos of SP's narrow gauge line, abandoned in 1960.

Yes, it is a good website.

If anyone is interested there is a group devoted to the history and modeling of the Carson & Colroado / Southern Pacific narrow gauge. It puts out a 8-page newsletter that is trying to come out on a quarterly basis. The group is named Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge Society and has been around -- on an informal basis -- since the early 80s. Four issues of the journal for $15.00.

Anyone interested in more information can contact me directly at bnorden49@earthlink.net or they can contact the treasurer, Cliff Mestel, at cmestel@troutcreekeng.com
