Is anyone here from this group? I note from their website that they recently operated motorcars and the old Santa Maria Valley railbus over the (ATSF?) Coronado line and hope to eventually begin passenger service with a steam engine. I understand several members own streetcars, but didn't see any reference to possible electric operations. If that's the case, then why "Electric" in the name? With San Diego's light rail line, it would seem possible to run some resistor-equipped historic streetcars. Has that been considered?

Bob,

Isn't this the group that has recently opened the railroad station at National city, CA (just south of San Diego)? They have one piece on static display.

I think the group also owns some equipment at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Parris.

They are mostly a traditional fan club having been publishing a monthly newsletter for years.

As far as I know that was the OLD organization named San Diego Electric Railway Association. Years ago it fell into decline, etc. and eventually sole remaining officer transfered car to OE; that was about 20-25 years ago.

That was about the time of the PSA plane crash in San Diego.
