As seen in the link below (from UP PR man John Bromley) the Union Pacific Museum is getting ready to move into new headquarters at the former Carnegie Library in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Funding for renovations to the unused library were raised by a non-profit organization, Friends of the Union Pacific Museum. If enough volunteers can be found to help, the UP archives will be available for research. It will take a while to catalog them first. The UP archives have been kept at the Western Heritage Museum (former Union Station)in Omaha since 1996, when they were removed from the main UP office building.
