| Post subject: | Whatever became of... Prof. Michael J. Dunn III |
Since it has been icy today, it's been a great day for research. One of the scribes of the 60s southeastern shortline scene was a professor by the name of Michael J. Dunn III. As I recall, he taught at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, N.C., then later at University of Wisconsin. His byline and photos appeared often in TRAINS in the 1960s. Subjects included the P&N and Brimstone, among others. I corresponded with him 20 years ago but have heard nothing since and have not run into anyone who knows his whereabouts.
