Post subject:  WV windmills

Hi,

There is a new "windfarm" as they call it, up here on Backbone Mountain. If you are coming from Davis, WV toward Thomas, WV, you will see about a half dozen or so of them as soon as you get to the overlook. A good idea is to drive about another mile and pull off at Sugarlands Rd.

If you keep driving, as if going to Oakland, MD, you will see the next batch at the Fairfax concrete sand mine / quarry.

If you are travelling from Oakland, you can see the windmills on 219 southbound before / or about Red house (US 219 / US 50 intersection) They can also be seen on MD 560 as you are going from Oakland toward Gorman / Gormania.

When you are 300 ft. tall, you tend to kind of stick out a little bit.
